Missa Gaia: A Celebration of Mother Earth

As a culminating celebration of Cantemus’ 40th anniversary season, The Paul Winter Consort will join the Cantemus Chamber Choir in presenting Winter’s jubilant Missa Gaia/Earth Mass, a multimedia oratorio integrating jazz and world music with the pre-recorded voices of wolf, whale, harp seal, and loon. Supported by local environmental justice organizations, the performance will combine live adult chorus, children’s chorus, and the Consort to joyously perform Winter’s collaboratively composed, fusion Mass honoring the whole earth as sacred space.
