Wolf Eyes is a retrospective focusing on the work of Paul Winter from 1980-1988. It features highlights representing the Earth Music genre, and the interplay of music and nature, including the voices of dolphins, birds, and wolves. Five of the tracks were recorded in the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City, and three were recorded live at the UN General Assembly.
The pairing of a wolf’s voice and a saxophone is brilliant. There are moments when you almost can’t tell which is which. This is more than your average listening experience; it’s almost a spiritual experience.
